Working on Yellowstone meant creating production graphics that felt like a natural extension of the world the audience already believed in. From signage and printed materials to environmental graphics, every design was crafted to support the authenticity of the story without drawing attention to itself. The goal was never to create graphics that stood out, but graphics that belonged.

the challenge
Every project demanded a balance of research, storytelling, and practicality. Designs had to reflect the history, culture, and character of the environment while meeting the realities of production schedules and fabrication. Success depended on making thoughtful decisions about typography, materials, scale, and weathering so each piece felt convincing both on set and through the camera lens.
The finished graphics became part of the visual language of the series, helping establish environments that felt genuine and lived in. While production graphics often go unnoticed by viewers, that invisibility is a measure of their success. By supporting the narrative rather than competing with it, the work helped reinforce the realism and atmosphere that define Yellowstone.

conclusion
Projects like Yellowstone continue to influence the way I approach design. I believe the strongest visual communication serves a purpose beyond aesthetics. Whether designing for film, brands, or print, my goal is to create work that communicates naturally, supports the larger story, and feels as though it has always belonged.
