Working on Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials gave me the opportunity to contribute production graphics to a larger science fiction story. Joining the series during its second chapter was especially rewarding because every design became part of a world that had already begun to take shape and would continue to grow.
the challenge
Science fiction offers the freedom to imagine new worlds, but those worlds still need to feel believable. The challenge was creating graphics that supported the visual language of the series while fitting naturally within the environments and the story being told.
One of the things I enjoyed most about this project was contributing to a larger narrative. Knowing that the work became part of an ongoing series made every design feel connected to something beyond a single film. It reinforced how thoughtful details can help create a world that audiences want to return to.
conclusion
Science fiction has always inspired my imagination, and The Scorch Trials remains one of my favorite projects because of that. It reminded me that good design doesn't just support a scene. It helps build a world that can continue to grow from one story to the next.
